Recycled Plastic Road

“Recycled Plastic Road”is a technological collaboration between SCG and Dow Thailand Group in which the process transforms plastic wastes such as plastic bags, food containing plastic bags from the separated waste collection into asphalt mixture to pave roads. In addition to reducing the use of asphalt, the test showed that the plastic mixture contributes to the better strength and superior erosion resistance of roads. The project is one among great examples that extract the maximum value from plastic waste. Recycled Plastic Road Prototype was first introduced at RIL Industrial Estate, Rayong. The project continues to expand its collaboration to apply the Recycled Plastic Road technology in other organizations such as Amata Corporation Plc., SC Asset Corporation Plc., and CP All Plc.
